Topics Include:

  •  Lightroom and Photoshop editing demonstrations   
  •  Filters: Neutral density, polarizers, and graduated
  •  Revisit composition rules if you took my beginning class
  •  And most importantly we'll talk about my planning and prediction process for incorporating the sun, moon, and star angles along with the weather and tides for photos.      
  • Perfect for people who have taken my beginning class (or have those basic skills)

Potential Locations: Seacliff Beach, Twin Lakes Beach, North Coast/Davenport *TBD by weather

General Spring Timeline: 12:00 p.m. start time for in-studio instruction, demonstration, questions, etc.  Dinner break at 4:00 p.m. Head to locations (TBD with weather) 5:00 p.m., sun sets at 7:20 p.m., finished at 8:00 p.m.

Prerequisite Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of manual mode settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO)
  • Basic knowledge of manual shooting, starting to shoot with RAW.   F-stops, aperture, depth of field, composition basics.
  • Post-processing, maybe a little Lightroom or Photoshop basics

Required Camera Gear:

  • Digital SLR camera & manual
  • Portrait or wide angle lens

Highly Recommended Gear:

  • Camera bag or backpack
  • Wide angle lens
  • Telephoto lens
  • Tripod 
  • Polarizer filter 
  • Computer & editing software at home (Photoshop/Lightroom)

Additional Items To Bring:

  • Water

  • Warm, weather-proof layers
